Summer Off & Yoga On

I have said this before and I am saying it now again "I like to consider every break out of my routine as a chance to reflect" but the truth is that I came to realise the necessity of this after years of unprepared plans, projects and purposes. So now I know, to let myself just "BE"; Summer time is usually the easiest, and most enjoyable holiday season to do just that. 

You see I love summer; even the heat allows my body to rest, to relax. There is no shivering to keep the body temperature. All you need to do is to "Let go", the more relaxed you are, the better with the heat. Too hot, I stay in watch a movie, be with friends, read a book or simply go to the beach; sunbathe, dive in the water, swim, watch the horizon, do a water sport or lay on the surface of the sea and listen to my breath! Magically, I learn to balance between creating and being, effort and surrender; Instead of rushing in doing, navigate on plans, intentions and projects.

Suddenly meditation flows in my life just like that. The moment I feel the summer breeze to get cooler I flow into the pure beauty of Autumn let it take me to the next place I need be and I know the answer to my big plans, the new project.

No experience is repeatable- each moment is a new experience.  With this in mind, I invite you to create time just for yourself, to just pause and ‘BE’ for a little while. In your Yoga practice include some restorative poses and give time to still the mind and find quietness.
