On December 26th, I started thinking about the New Year Celebrations; I have noticed all the Facebook updates with people expressing how good or bad was the year for them and how they wished the new year to bring good things or a different life. I realized that people perceive the year as an entity. I found it bizarre and started wondering “How am I perceiving the coming of the new year?” “What the 1st day of 2017 means to me?”.
My conclusion was that another year has gone along with its moments, experiences and lessons taught, all of which they remain with me and will remain as long as it is needed in the following year or years to come. Therefore, this is not a goodbye letter as there is nothing or no-one to wish goodbye to. I embraced all the moments I have experienced during 2016; instantly gratitude filled my body for having lived another year with challenges small or big; surprises, pleasant or unpleasant; but most of all experiential moments.
My eyes had glimpses of a new world, every day is a new perspective.
Thank you 2016 for all the blessings, the beauty and the beasts.
I am grateful my family is safe and protected,
I am thankful for the journey.
I wish nothing more; I trust that all is well”
Where this leave us; what is its purpose? Does it serve any purpose at all? Well it is what it is; It is the truth in my head, the truth I like to share with you. For most of us a break of our routine;
A pause to see, to think and to perceive things within us and around us. It doesn’t matter if you took that chance on the 31st of December or not; there is always time to set a new intention, to observe what your true self is craving for, your hidden dreams and wants.
If you like what you are reading, if what is written here resonates with you, then, close your eyes right this moment and feel your breath, the sound of your breath, notice the rhythm, Effortless breathing; move the corners of your lips towards your ears and when you feel contentment keep that feeling with you, simply open your eyes and let the moment and whatever you are involved with to simply «BE».
Bring awareness to whatever you are doing throughout your day, and let change happen when needed. Without forcing anything to happen. As long as you know where you want to be Mindfully set your energy in the next step, the next day and let it take you where you hope to be in 2017. This is my wish for you all, my self-included.
